After 36 seasons, Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) will close its doors for good, after the end of its 2020 summer online programs. The inability to operate our 2020 campus programs within COVID-19 precautions created a consequential pandemic impact on our organization.
We are extremely sad to say goodbye to our students, as well as our staff, our campuses, our families, and everyone else who has supported SIG since 1984. We are heartened by our belief that all of us together have made a difference in thousands of young people’s lives and that these young people are better equipped to deal with their futures than they would have been otherwise. All of us at SIG remain committed to our mission to nurture gifted and talented youth around the globe, and each of us will carry on that mission in our own individual ways.
